Wintec is one of the top-performing tertiary education institutions in New Zealand, and is successful in developing quality graduates who meet the needs of business and industry, regionally, nationally and internationally. In 2012, Wintec won a prestigious NZ Business Achievement Award, recognising Wintec’s use of international standards of ‘world class’ performance as its benchmark.
Wintec has a long-standing internationalisation strategy, broadening with more recent developments in off-shore delivery in both Saudi Arabia and China. This additional emphasis is in part, a direct response to the New Zealand (NZ) government’s wish to develop off-shore delivery as part of the wider New Zealand export education industry. Our expertise in export education and our local and global alliances enable us to deliver internationally-relevant, quality education services wherever they are needed in the world. Wintec has a justifiable reputation within New Zealand for its approach to internationalisation including Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics New Zealand (ITPNZ) awards in 2007 and 2009 for innovation and global strategy.
